The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has decided to close its office due to Coronavirus. The IOA has taken this decision following the International Olympic Council (IOC) guidelines. The IOC has already closed its office in Laussane (Switzerland). Now IOA is going to close its office on the lines of IOC from next Monday. The IOA will carry out its everyday tasks from home.

IOA Secretary General Rajiv Mehta says that the IOC has already closed its office. Their workers are working from home. We have also received some guidelines from the IOC. Keeping this in mind, the IOA office is being closed from Monday. All work will be dealt with at home until the situation becomes normal.

Other Sports Federations can also take this step if the IOA closes its offices, but it is up to them whether the sports federations will work from home or close its office. At the same time, the National Rifle Shooting Federation of India has prohibited the entry of persons coming from outside. An official says that if the IOA closes the office, then they will also take this step.
