Coronavirus: India Reports 46,164 Cases with 607 Deaths

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 46,164 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,25,58,530. With 607 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 436365.

The country also witnessed 34,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,17,88,440. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.63 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.34 %. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 3,33,725. The active cases rate in India stands at 1.03 %.

Over 51 crore samples tested so far:

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 17,87,283 samples were tested across the country on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a total of 51,31,29,378 samples tested so far till August 25.

Over 60 crores vaccine doses administered so far:

Meanwhile, mass vaccination against COVID-19 is underway in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, so far 60,38,46,475 have been vaccinated in the country. Out of this, 80,40,407  vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

More than 100 cases reported in Delhi:

On Thursday, 65 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 86 people recovered. So far, 14.37 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 14.12 lakh have cured, while 25,080 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 389 patients who are undergoing treatment.

Rajasthan: less than 100 cases reported:

On Thursday, 8 cases of coronavirus reported in the state. Of these, 15 people recovered. So far, 9.54 lakh people have tested positive for coronavirus in the state. Of these, 9.44 lakh people have cured, while 8,954 patients have died. At present, 121 patients are undergoing treatment.
