Coronavirus: British Government Postpones Brexit Trade Talks with EU for Two Weeks

The British government has postponed Brexit trade talks with the European Union (EU) for two weeks due to Coronavirus outbreak. The UK government has confirmed this. Let us know that in London this week, the EU and UK had planned talks through video conferencing. After this, a statement of the government said that this conference has been canceled due to Coronavirus. The UK left the European Union on 31 January, but the two sides agreed to a standstill transition by the end of 2020, allowing them to agree on a new partnership. The government has said that in the near future we hope to share the scheme as part of the legal process.

It is worth mentioning that the United Kingdom had separated from the European Union of 28 countries on 31 January this year. But during the transition period of one year, it will continue to trade with the EU as before. After the end of this transition period, an effort is being made to develop a mechanism for the UK and EU trade relations.

Significantly, last month, the European Union said that it will not enter into a Brexit deal with Britain at any cost. The union wants a fair and balanced trade agreement. EU negotiator Michael Bernier said after the meeting of union ministers to agree on the draft trade agreement to be made after Britain's separation from the European Union (EU), that we will not come to any agreement at any cost.
