On Thursday, Bangladesh Cricket announced the postponement of the series with Australia. It has been decided not to hold the two-match Test series due to the ever-increasing cases of the coronavirus. Its new date has not been discussed yet. Australia cricket team was supposed to visit Bangladesh in June but due to the corona epidemic, it is not possible at the moment. The two-match Test series was to be held between 11 June and 23 June.

This was Australia's second Bangladesh tour in the last three years and the third Test series. Giving information about the series, Bangladesh Cricket Board said, "The new dates will be discussed in future with the Board of Australia for these matches under the ICC Test Championship."

Bangladesh Cricket Board chief Nizamuddin Chaudhary said, "It is very disappointing for both the team's players and the fans but everyone is understanding this situation". On Thursday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced this and said that we are postponing the two-Test match series played with Australia without fixing the new dates due to the worldwide coronavirus epidemic.
