Corona Virus: Number of Patients Reached 5734 in India, 166 Deaths So Far

Corona virus cases in India have reached 5734 on Thursday. This virus has left 166 people dead in the country, ministry of Health informed about this. Health Ministry's Joint Secretary Love Aggarwal said that so far 473 people have been discharged from the hospital. There have been 549 new cases and 17 deaths in the last 24 hours. He told that 10 teams have been formed to deal with the situation, which has been sent to 9 states.

Ministry spokesman said that the railway is preparing 80 thousand Isolation wards and 2500 doctors have been deployed on their behalf. Indian Railways has also produced around six lakh reusable masks and more than 4,000 liters of sanitizer. Railways have converted 3,250 coaches into corona virus isolated units, a total of 5,000 coaches will be converted.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Health said that under the 'Adopt a Family' campaign in Karnal district (Haryana), 13000 needy families are being provided assistance of Rs 64 lakh. Regarding corona virus, an ICMR official said that 1,30,000 samples have been tested so far to detect corona virus infection in the country. It was also told by the Ministry that 49 ventilators and PPE orders were made by the government, which has now started to meet.
