Bengal Minister Sujit Bose tested Corona Positive

West Bengal's Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Bose has been found infected with Novel Coranavirus on Friday. "I am quarantined at home with my wife and servant, as she is also Corona positive, the three of us are at home in quarantine,"

The minister said that he and his wife are now feeling well and are taking medicines. They said that their children are also fine and they have come negative, so they are living elsewhere at the moment. Bose said that he was accompanied by a servant, who came positive and he was probably infected due to that. With this, Bose became the first member of Mamata Banerjee's cabinet to be found Covid-19 positive. He was seen working actively in various damage control activities in a large part of many districts of South Bengal after cyclonic storm Amphan.

Bose, a legislator of the Trinamool Congress from Vidhannagar Vidhan Sabha constituency, was also involved in relief distribution activities in various slum areas during the Covid crisis in the state. Whereas the total number of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal increased to 4,536 on Friday and the total active cases are currently 2,573. While there have been six deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
