Trend of Decline in Crude Oil Prices in International Market Continues….

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices are coming down every day due to softening in the price of crude oil in the international market recently, which will give relief to the common consumers of the country during the festive season. Oil marketing companies cut petrol and diesel prices on Monday for the fifth consecutive day, after which petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai became cheaper by 13 paise while diesel was 12 paise per liter. During these five days, petrol has become cheaper by 85 paise per liter in Delhi, the capital of the country and the price of diesel has come down by 58 paise per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have come down to Rs 73.76, Rs 76.40, Rs 79.37 and Rs 76.61 per liter respectively. Diesel prices in the four metros have also come down to Rs 66.09, Rs 69.27, Rs 70.14 and Rs 71.68 per liter respectively.

After the drone attack on Saudi Arabian oil company Saudi Aramco on September 14 last month, the international market recorded the biggest one-day rise in crude oil prices after 28 years when Brent crude price was $ 71.95 per barrel. Done, but since then Brent price has broken down to around $ 14 per barrel.

Brent crude was trading at $ 58.12 a barrel on Monday on the international futures market Intercontinental Exchange, down 0.43 per cent in its December contract. At the same time, on the New York Mercantile Exchange, American light crude was trading at $ 52.80 a barrel, with a weakness of 0.28 percent in the November delivery contract of West Texas Intermediate. Fears of global economic slowdown have led to a softening of oil prices.
