In order to accelerate the country's economic activities, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Das will hold an important meeting in Mumbai on March 26. During this meeting, there is a possibility of discussions about the benefits of a repo rate reduction by banks to the customers. In this meeting, the presence of representatives of industry chambers and credit rating agencies will be present. The Governor has also called the All India Bank Depositors Association in addition to trade organizations and credit rating agencies for the meeting.

According to the news agency PTI, sources said that the RBI governor is holding this meeting to expand the consultation process. Let us know that the monetary policy of the RBI is going to be the first meeting of the next financial year on April 4. The upcoming meeting of the committee is also important in that it is going to be the first phase of the general elections to be held on April 11 after a few days.

In December last year, Das had said only after assuming the post of Governor of the Reserve Bank that he would carry all the relevant parties including the government along with him. He has also been meeting Industry Chambers, Non-Banking Financial Companies, Bank Officials, Government Representatives and Rating Agencies before.

Meeting with banks on 21st February

Earlier, the Governor of the Reserve Bank had held a meeting with the bank heads of private and public sector on February 21. In this meeting, after discussing the policy interest rate reduction, the banks discussed the reasons for the delay in reducing debt. It is noteworthy that despite the RBI's policy rates cut, the bank has been lagging behind the benefits to the general public, they have been referring to the NPA pending and the other factors for this.
