PM Modi-Google CEO Meeting On Electronics Manufacturing, PM Invites Google For AI Summit, Event To Be Held In December

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Google Google CEO Sundar Pichai held a meeting on Monday, October 16 regarding the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in India. This meeting of both took place through video conferencing. Apart from manufacturing, other things including AI were discussed.

During this, the Prime Minister praised Google for partnering with HP to manufacture Chromebooks in India and for the 100 Languages Initiative. At the same time, he invited Google for Global Partnership Contribution in AI Summit. This summit will be held in New Delhi in December.

The Prime Minister welcomed Google's plan to set up its Global Fintech Operations Center at Gujarat International Finance Tech-City (GIFT) in Gandhinagar. Whereas Sundar Pichai wrote on X- Thank you Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this wonderful meeting.

During the meeting, Pichai outlined plans to improve India's financial inclusion by leveraging the reach and power of GPay and UPI.

The company wants to bring the 1000 most spoken languages in the world online. In this way people will get information in their preferred language. The company is also supporting a new Center for Responsible AI in IT Madras.
