Meanwhile, the Department of Revenue has reported that till July 16, more than 1.46 crore income tax returns have been filed.

According to officials, "The number of people filing returns has increased due to the convenience. The main reason for this is the pre-filled income tax return form. The pre-filled form can be edited. "Let us know that the deadline to file an ITR is July 31 and after this day filing may take a fine. In this sense, now only 13 days are left.

Statistics till 16 July

According to the Department of Revenue data, out of 1.46 crore ITR, 90.8 lakh returns are made up to 50 lakh rupees annually. On July 16, 7.94 lakh tax returns were filled. Out of this 5.26 lakh ITR-1s were comfortable. Explain that ITR-1 can fill the people living in the country whose salary, a house, property, other sources (interest), total income is Rs 50 lakh and agricultural income is Rs 5,000. It does not include those who are Or those who have invested in unlisted companies.

At the same time, it has been reported that till July 16, 9.68 lakh ITR-2 and 14.94 ITR-3 have been filled up. The ITR-2 form is for the use of Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) and such individuals who have income from other sources other than their business or profession income.

If you are a partner in a firm and you are not getting any income from a business or profession, then you have to fill ITR-3. According to the department, about 28 lakh ITR-4s have been filled up. In the current financial year, till now, 24,000 companies have filled ITR-6. Overall, more than 1.46 crore income tax returns have been filled up till July 16.
