Saudi Arabia, a conservative Islamic country, will no longer have separate entrances to women and men in restaurants and cafes. Officials gave this information. Another step has been taken in this direction, taking the initiative to relax the social restrictions in the country. The restaurants had long had one entrance for unmarried men, while the other entrance was for women and families.

The Municipality and Ministry of Rural Affairs tweeted on Sunday that it was ending several imperatives for restaurants, including the need for separate unmarried men and separate entrances for families. However, it is not yet clear whether restaurant restriction will also be lifted. Saudi Arabian restaurants have a separate place for families with women and a separate place for men only.

Saudi youth have praised the new corrective move, but hardliners condemned the move on social media, calling it 'against Sharia'. Shah Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia wants to create a liberal and business friendly image of the country to encourage investment and hence many restrictions have been relaxed in the country in recent times.
