Kartarpur Corridor: Now Passport is also Required to visit Kartarpur

Ayushi Sharma

There have been reports of army dominating the Imran Khan government in Pakistan. Again, the statements of the Army and the government regarding the Kartarpur corridor are coming from two different directions. On the 1st of this month, Imran Khan announced on his Twitter that Indian pilgrims would not need a passport for the Kartarpur corridor. However, now in a statement issued by the army spokesman, the passport has been declared mandatory.

Pak army said, Passport mandatory for pilgrims

The statement has been issued in the Pakistani media quoting Army spokesperson General Asif Ghafoor. The official statement issued by the army said that it is mandatory for Sikh pilgrims coming from India to use passports. Imran Khan tweeted a few days ago that Indian pilgrims can come with any government certificate.

On 1 November, Imran Khan tweeted, 'I have abolished two obligations to Indian Sikh pilgrims coming to Kartarpur. Pilgrims will no longer need a passport, they just have to bring a valid certificate with them. Along with this, the mandatory for pilgrims to register 10 days in advance has also been abolished. With this, no inauguration fee will be charged on the occasion of Guruji's 550th birthday.

Pakistan's disgusting conspiracy behind the Kartarpur corridor has been exposed. Sometimes he kept talking about taking visas and fees from devotees and now he has openly promoted Khalistani terrorists. For anti-India activities, it has now made a disgusting plot to play with the religious sentiments of Sikhs. To promote Khalistan terror, he has promoted Bhindranwale as a 'hero' in his video on Kartarpur. However, India is assuming that the Kartarpur corridor will open the way for trust and friendship between the two countries.
