Government Welcomes the Proposal to Discuss Issues Related to Economy: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses an all-party meeting before the budget session. He said, 'There has been a proposal to discuss the economic situation of the country. I welcome this and all the economic issues should be discussed.' Prime Minister Modi said, "In this budget session we have to focus on how to change the global scenario in favor of India." He further said, "If we can give proper direction to the economy of the country, then it will be in the interest of the country."

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Prahlad Joshi called an all-party meeting on Thursday before the budget session. In this meeting, issues related to the smooth functioning of the Parliament and budget-related issues were discussed.  The Budget will be presented on February 1, 2020-21. The budget session will start from 31 January and will run till 11 February. The session will begin with the address of President Ram Nath Kovind.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Rajnath Singh, Thavar Chand Gehlot, Arjun Meghwal, V Muralidharan, SP K Ramgopal Yadav, Prasad Acharya of BJD, Supriya Sule of NCP, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and Ghulam Nabi Azad of Congress, Manoj Jha of JDU, Ram Vilas Paswan of LJP and Chirag Paswan, Derek O. Bryan of TMC And Ritesh Pathak were present in the meeting held in Parliament Library.
