Gautam Adani, Asia's richest man, proposed a Rs 65,000 crore in investment in Rajasthan over the next 5 to 7 years to build a massive 10,000 MW solar power plant, expand a cement plant, and upgrade Jaipur airport.

The investment by Adani's ports-to-energy business includes city gas infrastructure for retailing CNG to autos and piped gas to families and industry, as well as the construction of transmission lines to convey renewable energy.
