Famous industrialist and Kumar Mangalam Birla's grandfather BK Birla passed away in Mumbai. At the age of 98, Indian industry leader Birla had Age-related diseases. This information was given by his family. His Wife Sarla Birla died in 2015 and her only son, Aditya Vikram Birla, passed away in 1995. Their two daughters operate Manjushree Khetan Kesoram Industries and Jayashree Mohta Jayashree T & Industries. According to sources, the dead body of Om Birla will be taken from Mumbai to his residence in Kolkata's Birla Park and will be cremated on Thursday.

His grandson Kumaramangalam Birla had come from Kolkata to Mumbai with his deteriorating health. Birla Building is the name of Birla brothers in Mumbai. This building will be closed on Thursday in honor of BK Birla. Starting from the age of 15 BK Birla philanthropist Ghanshyam Das was the youngest son of Birla. He was born in 1921.
