Famous Industrialist BK Birla Dies in Mumbai

Famous industrialist and Kumar Mangalam Birla's grandfather BK Birla passed away in Mumbai. At the age of 98, Indian industry leader Birla had Age-related diseases. This information was given by his family. His Wife Sarla Birla died in 2015 and her only son, Aditya Vikram Birla, passed away in 1995. Their two daughters operate Manjushree Khetan Kesoram Industries and Jayashree Mohta Jayashree T & Industries. According to sources, the dead body of Om Birla will be taken from Mumbai to his residence in Kolkata's Birla Park and will be cremated on Thursday.

His grandson Kumaramangalam Birla had come from Kolkata to Mumbai with his deteriorating health. Birla Building is the name of Birla brothers in Mumbai. This building will be closed on Thursday in honor of BK Birla. Starting from the age of 15 BK Birla philanthropist Ghanshyam Das was the youngest son of Birla. He was born in 1921. He was involved in business activities since the age of 15 and at this age he had joined several companies and became Chairman of Kesoram Industries.

He played an important role in many business initiatives. Birla has traded in many areas especially cotton cotton, viscose, polyester and nylon thread, paper, shipping, transparent paper, cement, tea, coffee, cardamom, chemicals, plywood. Birla BK Birla Group also has Century Textiles, Centura Inca, Jayshree T & Industries and Kesoram Industries, which were the chairman of Krishnajaran Charity Trust. Birla was the chairman of the Charusha Charity Trust, which runs the BK Birla Institute of Engineering (BITS Pilani) located in Pilani, Rajasthan. Apart from BITS Pilani, this trust works as a guardian of 25 educational institutions located across the country.
