After 6 consecutive days of decline, prices of petrol and diesel remained stable on Wednesday. A day before this, on Tuesday, petrol price in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai was cut by 17 paise and in Chennai by 18 paise. At the same time, the price of diesel fell by 10 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, while in Mumbai and Chennai, the price was reduced by 11 paise.

Rs.1.02 Fell in 6 Days

In the last six days, the price of petrol in the capital of Delhi has been reduced by Rs 1.02 and in diesel by 68 paise per liter. This is a big relief for consumers in the festive season. However, the prices of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are retaining Rs 73.59, Rs 76.23, Rs 79.20 and Rs 76.43 per liter respectively. Diesel prices in the four metros are also stable at Rs 66.81, Rs 69.17, Rs 70.03 and Rs 70.57 per liter without any change.

Significantly, on September 14, after the drone attack on Saudi Arabian oil company Saudi Aramco on September 14, the international market recorded the biggest one-day rise in crude oil prices after 28 years when Brent crude price was 71.95. The dollar fell to the barrel, but since then Brent's price has broken down to around $ 14 a barrel. Let us know that due to the fears of global economic slowdown, a softening trend in oil prices has been maintained.
