After several days of decline, there was no change in prices of petrol and diesel on Wednesday. According to IndianOil website, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai is steady at Rs 72.86, Rs 75.50, Rs 78.48 and Rs 75.66 per liter respectively.

If you talk about diesel, then in four metros, prices are priced at Rs 66, Rs 68.19, Rs 69.17 and Rs 69.71 per liter respectively. Let us say that last Tuesday prices of petrol and diesel were recorded. It was the sixth consecutive day when the price of petrol was cut, while diesel prices were down for the second consecutive day. Let us say that after a fortnight in Delhi, the price of petrol has dropped below Rs 73 per liter.

Crude Oil Price will increase!

In the past few days, crude oil has returned strongly. Its price has increased more than 1% in the global market. In the domestic market, it seems to be trading on the edge. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the prices of petrol and diesel will increase in the coming days. Here, prices of petrol and diesel are influenced by international crude prices.

It is to be noted that while presenting the General Budget 2019-20 in the Lok Sabha on July 5 at the beginning of the month, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced an increase in excise duty and cess of rupees one per one on petrol and diesel. Thus, the price of petrol and diesel in the country increased by about two and a half rupees the next day on the announcement of increase of tax of Rs two rupees.
