Adani Will Bid For More Airports In The Country, 1 Dozen Airports Are Expected To Be Privatised

Adani Airports, a company of Adani Group, will bid for more airports in the coming days. The company's CEO Arun Bansal told on Wednesday that the company wants to increase the number of its airports. Talking about the company's plan, he further said that more than a dozen airports are expected to be privatised in the next few years, and we will participate in their bidding.

Company working on setting up Aviation Institute

Speaking at the Center for Aviation Summit, Bansal said that Adani Airports is working on setting up an aviation institute. He also said that under the first phase, the Navi Mumbai airport will start operations by December 2024. The first phase of Navi Mumbai airport will have a passenger handling capacity of 20 million.

Adani Airports the country's largest operator company

Adani Airports is the largest airport operator company in the country. Right now he has the command of 7 airports in the country. Apart from Mumbai airport, Adani also has 6 other major airports, which include Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports. Their management is with Adani Group only. After winning the bidding in 2019, the group has the responsibility to operate these airports for the next 50 years.

Consumer app was launched last year

To make air travel more convenient, Adani Group launched a consumer app 'Adani One' in December last year. Through this app, many facilities like booking flights, flight status, cab booking and airport lounge booking are available in one place. This app has been downloaded more than 5 lakhs so far.
