Anshula Kant Appointed as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of World Bank

Anshula Kant, Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI) has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the World Bank (CFO). World Bank President David Malpas announced this on Friday. Malpass said that as Managing Director and CFO, Kant will take over the responsibility of financial risk management in the World Bank Group. He will report to the president.

Malpass said that I am very happy to appoint Anshula Kant as managing director and CFO of the World Bank Group. He is bringing with him 35 years of banking experience. In other major management tasks, he will work closely with the World Bank CEO on the mobilization of financial reporting, risk management and other financial resources.

As the CFO of SBI, Kant manages the revenue of US $ 38 billion and the total assets of US $ 500 billion. He made a lot of corrections in the capital base and concentrated on SBI's long-term sustainability within its mandate. The World Bank said that he is a member of the board of directors and board since September 2018.
