Mumbai: 26 years ago, Sushmita Sen became the first Indian to be crowned Miss Universe at a glittering ceremony in the Philippines. Her boyfriend Rohman Shawl posted a post on Instagram congratulating Sushmita.

Shawl wrote, "26 years my life. How proud you made all of us and still continue to do so."

Along with this, he shared some pictures of Sushmita from the competition, in which she can be seen wearing a white gown and a greyhound with a crown on her head.

Reacting to the post, Sushmita's fans gave her love and congratulations.

Currently, Sushmita lives with her boyfriend and her adopted daughters, Renee and Alisa.
