The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh will distribute tablets and smartphones to one lakh youth at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on December 25. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced to give free tablets and smartphones to one crore youth. In the first phase, 60 thousand mobiles and 40 thousand tablets will be distributed on December 25. For the first time in Indian history, this will happen.

No government has done like this

Let us tell you, so far no government has distributed such a large number of tablets and smartphones, as the Yogi government is going to do. In the first phase of distribution, preference will be given to the students of BA, BSc, MA, ITI, MBBS, MD, B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD, MSME and skill development etc. who are in the final year.

UP Government has issued an order of about 2,035 crore rupees

The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order of about 2,035 crore rupees for the purchase of smartphones and tablets in the first phase. In this, one and a half lakh smartphones will be purchased at the rate of Rs 10 thousand 740 and seven lakh 20 thousand tablets will be purchased at the rate of Rs 12 thousand 606. At present, approximately 18 lakh tablets and smartphones are expected to be delivered by various companies soon.

Companies will start supplying smartphones and tablets before December 24

According to the sources, the UP government has issued orders for the supply of tablets and mobiles to companies like Samsung, Lava and Acer. It is believed that the companies will start supplying smartphones and tablets before December 24. To make the procurement process fair and transparent, the order of smartphones and tablets has been issued on the GeM portal.
