Rahul Gandhi reached Hoshiarpur to campaign for the Congress candidate in the Punjab Assembly elections. There he fiercely targeted the Modi government saying that PM Modi had said in every speech that he would deposit Rs 15 lakh in bank accounts, give employment to 2 crore youth, did anyone get it? Why doesn't he speak on corruption or employment? They did demonetisation, imposed GST but who benefited?

Stating that his party's chief ministerial face Charanjit Singh Channi understood poverty, Gandhi said Channi would lead a government of poor people, farmers, small traders and small and medium businesses and not 'billionaires'.

Our Congress government is pro-farmer, so we stand with the farmers. Also, he said that Punjab elections are in front of us and you have to choose a new government.
