Punjab Elections 2022: "All is Well, Congress Win" says Navjot Singh Sidhu

Screening committee meeting held on Wednesday in the Congress War Room regarding the Punjab Assembly elections. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and State President Navjot Singh Sidhu also attended the meeting. This is the third meeting of the Screening Committee held in Delhi on Wednesday regarding the Punjab Assembly elections. In this meeting, which started at 3 pm, Punjab in-charge Harish Chaudhary, Screening Committee chairman Ajay Maken, senior Punjab leader Sunil Jakhar along with many other members were present. It is desired that by successive months the Congress will terminate the foremost list of nominees for the Punjab Assembly.

Many essential decisions were taken in this discussion as well as issues related to elections have been discussed in it. Earlier, Ajay Maken, chairman of the screening committee, who was on a three-day visit to Punjab, met Deputy Chief Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Om Prakash Soni, cabinet ministers Brahm Mohindra, Sukhbinder Sarkaria, Aruna Chaudhary, and OP Soni and took their argument on ticket distribution.

After this meeting, Ajay Maken, chairman of the screening committee, said, "Most of the seats in the Punjab Assembly have been discussed. The party will contest good candidates. BJP is not vamoosing in Punjab." There are many factors which are being given, including winning potential, single ticket in a family, senior leaders will be fielded from seats they have won earlier, etc. Today the seats were concerned but the final list was with Sonia Gandhi. will issue the CEC headed by her."

According to sources, this time the Congress party is preparing to field around 60 sitting MLAs by giving them tickets. Out of these, 17 such MLAs have been identified, whose ticket is in suspicion. Most of these MLAs are said to be proximate to Captain Amarinder Singh, former Chief Minister and head of PLC. Senior party sources have confirmed this. At the same time, after the meeting, despite constant differences with CM Charanjit Singh Channi, State President Navjot Singh Sidhu said, "All is well, Congress win." It is expected that in the first week of January, the Congress Party will convene a meeting of the Central Election Committee regarding Punjab and put the final seal on the first list.
