CR Patil gave his Statement After the Ban on Selling Non-Vegetarian Food in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) has banned non-veg food sold on roadside carts. On this, Gujarat BJP State President CR Patil says that no one has taken such a decision. People are free to eat whatever they want. BJP will never try to stop it, although there may be some other reason behind removing these carts from the roads, it is not because these people are selling veg or non-veg dishes.

AMC has banned the plying of non-vegetarian food

Significantly, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has banned the plying of non-vegetarian food along the roads of the state from Tuesday. However, on this, the state CM Bhupendra Patel had said on Monday that the government has no problem with the eating habits of the people. But action can be taken against those selling unhygienic food on the roadside or such street food carts which create hindrance in traffic.

Addressing the public at a BJP program in Bandhani village of Anand district, CM Patel said that some people eat vegetarian food and some eat non-vegetarian food. BJP has no problem with this. But there has been a demand to remove the stalls standing on the roadside, our concern is that the food being sold on the roadside in this way should not be unhygienic. If traffic is obstructed by these food courts, they can be removed.

This clarification of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in this matter has come to the fore in response to the demand of local BJP leaders to remove non-vegetarian food carts from the roads in various cities of Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, the BJP-ruled municipal corporation has ordered the removal of non-vegetarian food stalls running 100 meters from public roads and schools and religious places. Cities like Vadodara, Rajkot and Dwarka are also demanding the removal of non-vegetarian food carts from public places.
