External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar did not meet US MP who opposed Kashmir

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently visiting the US to discuss some important issues between India and the US. During this time he has taken a tough stance for American leaders who interfere in India's internal affairs. He has refused to meet US MP Pramila Jaipal. Pramila criticized the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir.

The foreign minister said, 'I don't think people who are not able to understand the situation in Jammu and Kashmir should talk to them, so we have decided not to meet many MPs Samte Pramila Jaipal. I want to meet people who want to talk about problems with an open mind. It is no use talking to people who have already formed their opinion.

Jaipal had moved a resolution in the US House of Representatives opposing the abolition of special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The resolution said that all restrictions in Kashmir should be lifted immediately. The Government of India says that Pakistan is in the grip of attacks and wants to disturb the peace of Jammu and Kashmir, so some restrictions are still necessary.

A report in the Washington Post said that Jaishankar abruptly canceled his meeting with senior members of Congress this week as US lawmakers rejected his demand not to include Jaipal in the meeting. The report said that Jaishankar was to meet House of Representatives for Foreign Affairs Eliot L. Angel, the committee's top Republican member, Michael McCaul, and other US lawmakers, including Jaipal.

Jaipal said, the meeting is sad to be canceled

Pramila Jaipal reacted to this crop of Jaishankar and said, "It is very sad to have a meeting canceled." He said that India does not want to listen to anyone. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also criticized Jaishankar's decision and said it was a political failure of the BJP government.

Jaishankar's target on Pakistan

India and the United States together have said that Pakistan should immediately ensure action against terrorist organizations. Both countries said that Pakistan should initiate a case against the culprits of the cross-border terror attacks, including the Mumbai and Pathankot attacks.

According to a joint statement after the 2 + 2 talks between India and the US, the two countries called on Al Qaeda, ISIS, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Haqqani Network, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Tehreek- from Pakistan.
