US President Donald Trump said that 'the vaccine will be ready or not', the US will reopen again. He also announced that his aim was to produce a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year. The BBC in its Saturday report said that they compared the vaccine project 'Operation Warp Speed' to the world's first efforts to build nuclear weapons during World War II. However, he also clarified that Americans without a vaccine should start returning to normalcy in their lives.

Many experts are skeptical that the coronavirus vaccine can be prepared within a period of one year. "The project will begin with research and approval on 14 vaccine candidates," President Trump said at the White House's Rose Garden press conference on Friday. He called for a partnership between government and the private sector to find and distribute a vaccine and named an army general and a former healthcare executive to lead the operation.

Monsaf Saloi, who previously led the vaccine division at pharmaceutical giant Glaxo Smith Kline, will lead the mission, while General Gustav Perna, who oversees distribution for the US Army, will serve as chief operating officer. After President Trump, Monsaf Saloi said he was confident that by 2020 a few thousand million doses of the vaccine would be dispensed.
