TRAI to Change Rule: You can’t Port your Number in these 6 days, Know the Reason

If you also want to have your phone number ported to another network, then know about the new rule. Actually, MNP means TRAI is changing the rules regarding mobile number portable service. In such a situation, let us know what changes the TRAI number is going to make regarding the portable service.

Actually, according to the new rules of TRAI, your number will be ported in just two days. While the process of MNP is quite long. If you want to change your telecom operator, first you have to generate UPC i.e. Unique Porting Code and even after that the whole process takes weeks.

The new rules will be applicable from December 16 this month. These rules were finalized only last year. This will be applicable from 12 December 16 night. One thing to be noted here is that the MNP will be completely stopped a few days before the new rules come into force, i.e. a few days before the 16th of December. According to TRAI, MNP will be stopped from 5.59 pm on December 9 evening until the new rules are implemented. Before this, those applying will have to go through the process as per the existing rules.
