WHO Praises Dharavi, Rahul Gandhi Said – Public Deserves the Praise

Coronavirus infection is increasing in the country. So far, more than eight lakh corona infected patients have been confirmed in the country. Maharashtra is the most affected due to coronavirus in the country. However, coronavirus infection in Dharavi, Maharashtra has been controlled to a large extent.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has praised the methods of corona control in Dharavi. WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom has said that controlling the corona in Dharavi of megacities like Mumbai suggests that the corona can be controlled. On this, former President of Congress Rahul Gandhi says that the people of this place are entitled to praise for this achievement.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted that the WHO has praised the Dharavi model of our country for preventing Corona infection. The entire team is responsible for this achievement of Dharavi, and especially the people there, deserves praise.

It should be noted that Dharavi, spread over 2.5 square kilometers, is Asia's largest slum. The density of population here is 2,27,136 per kilometer. At the same time, the population is close to 10 to 12 lakhs. When the first corona patient appeared in Dharavi, people were scared thinking that the situation here is going to be even more dangerous. But this did not happen.
