US President Donald Trump on Monday announced a suspension on green cards and H-1B visas until the end of this year. Let us tell you that H-1B Visa is quite famous among IT professionals in India. According to reports, the Trump administration has also suspended several other foreign work visas. It also includes H-2B, L and J-Visa. After this decision of Trump, these visa holders and their dependents will not be able to go to the US till 31 December 2020. J-Visa is issued for intern, trainee, teacher, camp counselor or summer work travel program.

Decision taken in favor of Americans: Trump

Announcing the decision, Donald Trump said it was necessary for millions of Americans who lost jobs due to the current economic crisis. The decision taken before the presidential elections in November is being opposed by business institutions, lawmakers and human rights organizations. But Trump has completely rejected this protest.

According to the declaration, the decision will not affect legally permanent US residents and foreign nationals who are spouses or children of US citizens. Apart from this, those coming to America for essential services like temporary labor and food supply chains will also be exempt from this ban.
