On the occasion of Vijayadashami, the RSS organized a parade at its headquarters in Nagpur. During this, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was also present on the stage.

Mohan Bhagwat performed "shastra puja" at the headquarters. Addressing the people present thereafter "Shastra Puja", Bhagwat said that-'on the day we became independent, along with the joy of freedom, we also experienced pain in our mind, that pain has not gone yet. The partition of our country took place, it has been a very sad history… but the truth of that history should be faced, it should be known'.

75th year of our independence

The Sangh chief further said that the enmity and separation which led to the partition should not be repeated. To avoid recurrence, to bring back our lost integrity and unity, it is very important for everyone to know that history. Especially the new generation should know. The loss can come back.

Sangh chief Bhagwat said that this year is the 75th year of our independence. We became independent on 15 August 1947. We took the formulas of our country into our own hands to run the country forward. That was the starting point of our journey. We did not get this freedom overnight.

He said that the effect of religion, which gives the world a sense of lost balance and mutual friendship, affects India. This is not possible, that is why they work of misleading the world and the people of India is going on while spreading untrue slanderous propaganda against the people, history, culture of India.

Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that we have to forget the ego of small identities like our faith, creed, caste, language, province, etc. All those who want a creation based on intimacy and equality of society will have to make efforts. The volunteers of the Sangh are doing the work of creating an environment of social harmony through social harmony activities.
