Major iPhone Update: Apple has announced its new mobile operating system, iOS 18, during WWDC 2024 (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2024. In this latest OS for iPhone, Apple has added several features that users have been demanding.
The company has provided users with various customization features along with control options. iPhone users can now customize their phones according to their preferences.
One standout feature in this new operating system is the ability for users to power off their phones without pressing any power or volume buttons.
The company has made the Control Center in iOS 18 more powerful than before. The Control Center has been completely revamped with new controls added for users.
One of these controls includes the ability to power off the phone. In iOS 18, users will no longer need to press the power and volume buttons to turn off their phone.
Users will need to use a shortcut provided in the Control Center to turn off their iPhone. It is located in the top right corner of the screen.
To access this feature, users will need to swipe down from the top right corner in the Control Center, then navigate to the power option and switch off the phone.
This feature has been observed in the developer beta version 1 of iOS 18.
In addition to this, iOS 18 has also added Two-Step Permission for pop-up screens. Previously, users had the option to grant or deny permission to their contacts.
Now, if users want to grant permission to access their contacts, they will need to select the contacts they want to share. They won't have to grant permission for all their contacts. iOS 18 has made it more secure for users compared to previous versions.
