It has been announced by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal to build a waterway between Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra.
To promote religious tourism, travel between these three places can be done through the cruise.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also said that there will be wall paintings of Lord Krishna's pastimes in the Parikrama Marg, which will give a pleasant feeling to the visiting devotees.
Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attended the Shankaracharya program at Govardhan, Mathura.
Here, on behalf of Shankaracharya Adhokshjanand Devtirth, Sonowal was asked what his department is doing to promote tourism in Mathura-Vrindavan.
Responding to the question, Union Minister Sonowal talked about running a cruise on the Yamuna river between Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra.
He said that due to this service, the tourist coming to Agra will also come to Mathura-Vrindavan. Tourists will get a different experience from the waterway.
At the same time, Sonowal said that discussions have also been held with UP CM Yogi Adityanath regarding the preparation of waterways between the three places.
Soon this project will be started. Due to this, there will be an increase in tourism here. Shipping Minister Sonowal has also taken information from the officials of his department about the 'Har Ghar Jal Project' of the centre going on here.
In Uttar Pradesh, there has been a significant increase in tourism due to the cruise service in Maa Ganga.
The cruise is being run from Shiv Nagari Kashi to Sangam (Prayagraj). Yogi government is promoting travel through the cruise.
Cruises are being run for convenience and different adventures for the tourists coming from the country and abroad.
