Illegal Mining in Brij 84 Kos: Act of tampering these hills of Brij is going on for many years

If you are thinking that this movement is only 550 days old then you are wrong. It has been more than a decade since this movement started.

The act of tampering these hills of Brij is going on for many years. It has also been opposed for many years.

Talking about the beginning, it was started by saint of Brij Shri Ramesh Baba and fiercely opposed the Vasundhara government.

Although mining was stopped to some extent after the fall of the Vasundhara government, but now the government has changed but the picture remains the same.

Let us tell you that this movement is going on for 550 consecutive days. This movement is going on continuously since 11 January 2021.

Since then, thousands of sages and saints have been sitting on agitation against this illegal mining. Baba Haribol, who started the movement, had also warned of self-immolation, but today Baba Vijay Das attempted self-immolation.

Illegal Mining in Brij 84 Kos: Mining is going on since 2009

In the year 2009 also, the religious mountains of Brij falling in Deeg and Kaman tehsils of Bharatpur were declared protected forest areas.

But at that time due to tehsil differences, Kankanchal, the main mountain of Brij and some parts of Aadi Badri were left out of being protected forest area.

The then District Collector Dr. Himanshu Gupta had prepared a proposal and sent it to the state government.

The state government will issue the notification soon. Let us inform that according to a decision of the Supreme Court in 1996, mining in the forest-protected area is prohibited.

In the midst of the 550-day-long agitation against illegal mining, a saint has attempted self-immolation and set himself on fire by spraying petrol.

A saint named Baba Vijay Das has tried to attempt self-immolation in which he suffered severe burns.

The sadhu has been admitted to RBM Hospital in a critical condition. On the other hand, in view of the movement of sadhus, the district administration has stopped internet service in Deeg, Nagar, Kaman, Pahari and Sikri tehsils.

All these hills are not ordinary hills

These small height hills are the Leela Sthali of Shri Krishna. All these hills are revered and pilgrimage centers for every devotee including Brijwasis.

But the so-called local Mev society is bent on eliminating these signs. In the last several years, Mev Samaj has damaged many religious places.

A major part of illegal mining comes in the Parikrama of Brij 84 Kos. Mev society has created obstacles many times in this circumambulation.

More than 10 years long agitation, the threat of self-immolation, gathering of saints, climbing a saint's on the tower, behind all these works there is only one demand for 12 years that this mining should be stopped. The tampering with these revered hills should be stopped.
