
In a tragic incident that occurred on Wednesday morning in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a truck rammed into a passenger bus claiming the lives of 12 individuals, while more than 12 others sustained injuries.
According to local authorities, the death toll may rise further. The bus, which had over 57 passengers on board, was travelling on the Agra-Jaipur National Highway-21 near Hantra at 5:30 AM.
Among the deceased, there were 7 women and 5 men, all residents of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The accident happened due to a breakdown of the bus on the roadside, as its diesel pipe ruptured.
Approximately 10-12 passengers disembarked along with the driver to repair the pipe.
After repairing the pipe, the driver and his companions left to fetch diesel. It was during this time that a speeding truck collided with the bus, crushing the passengers standing nearby.
