
Rajasthan Election 2023: As the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections loom on the horizon, the political landscape is heating up.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already released its initial candidate list, the Congress party is eagerly awaiting its own list of candidates.
Meanwhile, ahead of the Congress Screening Committee Meeting scheduled to take place in the national capital, Delhi, a significant meeting between Sachin Pilot, the legislator from Tonk, and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra has caused quite a stir.
The significance of this meeting is currently under discussion in the political alleys of Rajasthan. It is reported that the meeting took place yesterday i.e. Friday afternoon.
Sachin Pilot, a prominent Congress leader, arrived at the official residence of Govind Singh Dotasra, the PCC Chief. The two leaders held a closed-door meeting for approximately an hour.
Interestingly, a file was seen on the table during this meeting, which is assumed to contain the names of potential candidates under discussion.
Following this meeting, Sachin Pilot directly headed to Delhi. Today, he will participate in the Screening Committee Meeting taking place in the capital city.
This meeting, led by the Chairman of the Screening Committee, Gaurav Gogoi, will feature Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra, and Sachin Pilot.
The primary agenda of this meeting is to deliberate on over 3,000 applications from candidates across the state.
After this meeting, the candidates who will be given tickets by the Congress party in its first list will become clear.
Subsequently, the first list of Congress candidates is expected to be released soon.
