In Rajasthan, the violence against women appears to be on the rise, as a terrible story has emerged in which a 19-year-old Dalit girl was brutally murdered and thrown into a well.
According to authorities, the event occurred in Hindaun city, Karauli district. The deceased girl, a college student, went missing two days ago and her lifeless body was discovered yesterday ( July 13) in a well.
A highly inflammatory substance was hurled at the young girl, causing burn damage to her face and torso. She was acid-attacked and then thrown into a deep well in the wilderness.
The cops kept the college student's body in the mortuary at Hindaun Hospital.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan BJP MP Kirodi Lal Meena has criticised the state police for incompetence and recommended CM Ashok Gehlot to take on his role as state Home Minister as well.
"The information about the painful death of a 19-year-old Dalit girl by throwing acid into a well in Gudhachandraji, Todabhim, is shocking," the BJP leader stated on Twitter.
Kirodi Lal Meena arrived at the deceased girl's home and detailed the gruesome murder of the college girl. "He said that the girl was attacked with acid, murdered, and then thrown into a well.
Her father is a worker. After learning about the occurrence, the mother went to the police station to file a report and also knocked on the door of the child welfare commission while her daughter was in the well, but no action was taken.
Because the police did not take the matter seriously, no FIR was filed. We are awaiting the postmortem report to determine whether or not she was raped."
