Rameshwaram Cafe Blast: After a week of the explosion, the popular restaurant Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru has reopened amidst tight security measures. The reopening comes with strict security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents in the future.
It's worth noting that ten people were injured in the explosion at the cafe a week ago.
According to the administration, metal detectors have been installed at the cafe's entrance for customer screening. Cafe staff will conduct checks using the metal detectors on customers entering the premises.
Strict surveillance will be maintained on all customers, and employees will be vigilant for any suspicious activities.
Raghavendra Rao, co-founder and CEO of Rameshwaram Cafe, said, "What happened should not have happened. It's a lesson for us to become stronger. No matter what, nobody can stop us."
Earlier on Friday (March 8) Raghavendra Rao mentioned, "They (the attackers) wanted to teach us a lesson, but we will teach them a lesson. With the blessings of Lord Shiva, we have reopened our cafe on the occasion of Mahashivratri. We will reopen the restaurant for customers tomorrow."
The cafe has now reopened its doors from today to the public eight days after the explosion.
Last week on Friday (March 01), a powerful bomb explosion rocked the popular restaurant Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. At least 10 people were injured in the blast, including restaurant staff and customers.
According to Karnataka police, a customer had left a bag near the handwashing area inside the restaurant, which contained an improvised explosive device (IED) with a timer.
Sources revealed that the suspicious individual, who left the bag, was wearing a cap and a mask to conceal his identity. Several CCTV footages have also emerged in connection with the incident.
