Tragic Accident in J&K: In a heart-wrenching incident that took place on Wednesday, a devastating mishap occurred in the picturesque region of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir.
As a result, at least seven individuals tragically lost their lives, while several others sustained severe injuries. The incident unfolded when a vehicle, navigating through the treacherous terrain, veered off the road and rolled down a deep gorge.
Based on the information provided, an accident took place in the vicinity of the Dangduru Dam site involving a vehicle that was transporting 10 workers from the Dangduru Power Project.
Rescue operations are currently underway at the location. Confirming the incident, DC Kishtwar stated, "A cruiser vehicle has plunged into the valley, and the injured individuals have been transported to a hospital for medical attention."
Additionally, Union Minister Jitendra Singh had a conversation with Dr. Devansh Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, regarding the accident and assured that every possible assistance would be extended.
In a separate incident back in April, two Army jawans tragically lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries when an ambulance belonging to the brigade veered off the road and fell into a gorge in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The accident occurred in the Keri sector, situated near the Line of Actual Control (LoC).
