The wife of Himachal Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Professor Simmi Agnihotri, has passed away. Mukesh Agnihotri himself shared this information on his Facebook page around midnight on Friday.
According to reports, Simmi Agnihotri suffered a heart attack, and while being taken to PGI Chandigarh, she breathed her last on the way.
The Chief Minister of the state, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, expressed sorrow over the demise of the Deputy CM's wife.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri himself shared this information late at night. He wrote, "With a heavy heart, I inform that Professor Simmi Agnihotri has left this transient world and merged into the feet of the Almighty. Her mortal remains will be kept at our ancestral residence, Astha Kunj in Gondpur Jaychand, for final respects until 1:00 PM. The final rites will be performed on Saturday, February 10th, at 2:00 PM at Moksha Dham, Gondpur Jaichand (Haroli). Om Shanti Om.
Before Mukesh Agnihotri entered politics, he was a journalist in the daily newspaper. It was during this time that Simmi Agnihotri married him on April 8, 1992.
Mukesh Agnihotri and Simmi Agnihotri had a love marriage. Simmi Agnihotri stood by Mukesh Agnihotri's struggles, supporting him through thick and thin. Even in 2003, when Mukesh Agnihotri decided to leave journalism and enter politics, Simmi Agnihotri stood by his side.
Mukesh Agnihotri has been winning elections consistently since then. Simmi Agnihotri actively participated in every political campaign, providing unwavering support to Mukesh Agnihotri.
