CM of Himachal: The difficulties of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh are not taking the name of abatement. Even after Congress got a clear majority in the assembly elections, its challenges are increasing.
The Congress has not yet been able to agree on any name for the post of the Chief Minister of the state, and the phase of rhetoric is increasing continuously.
The names of the party's state president Pratibha Singh as well as Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Mukesh Agnihotri are coming out among the main contenders for the post of the chief minister.
After the names of the main contenders for the Chief Minister's post have come to the fore, it is challenging to choose the face of such a Chief Minister, who can keep everyone together.
Amidst the changing developments, a round of meetings and a show of strength was witnessed in Shimla from morning till night.
Earlier in the day, Rajeev Shukla, in charge of state affairs, and party observers Bhupesh Baghel and Bhupinder Singh Hooda met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and staked claim to form the government.
At the same time, the meeting of all the 40 MLAs of the party started at around eight o'clock on Friday evening at the Congress office in Shimla in the presence of both supervisors Bhupesh Baghel and Bhupendra Hooda and HP's in-charge Rajeev Shukla, which lasted till around ten o'clock.
Pratibha Singh was specially present in this. According to sources, a single-line resolution was unanimously passed in the meeting to leave the decision to elect the chief minister of the state to the party's high command.
While Mukesh Agnihotri is said to be close to the Gandhi family, on the other hand it is being claimed that a large number of MLAs are with Sukhu.
With this it is being said that only Pratibha Singh can run a stable government for five years by taking everyone along. Pratibha is now an MP.
According to media reports, in such a situation, the party can also consider making one CM and two deputy CMs.
