Amidst political upheaval in Himachal Pradesh, Cabinet Minister Vikramaditya Singh has resigned from his ministerial position in the Sukhvinder government.
He announced his resignation in a press conference. However, Vikramaditya has expressed confidence in the party's high command that they will listen to his concerns.
Vikramaditya Singh has accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of negligence. He said that many MLAs were unhappy with the Chief Minister's functioning, and the situation is not right now.
It is not right for me to continue in this government in the current situation, so I am resigning from the ministerial position. I will consider the next steps in the future.
He directly criticized Chief Minister Sukhu's administration and said, "I have to say with sorrow that I have been insulted as a minister, the kind of messages that are sent in the department, an attempt was made to weaken us. The government was formed by the collective efforts of everyone. I will not succumb to any pressure.
Vikramaditya Singh said, "There has been some neglect with the legislators, an attempt was made to suppress the voices of legislators, which is why we are standing at this juncture today.
These issues have been consistently raised before the party leadership as well, but they were not taken seriously."
Vikramaditya Singh alleged that only two yards of land were not given for the statue of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Saying this, he became very emotional.
Meanwhile, according to sources, there is also news that Vikramaditya Singh could join the BJP. However, he did not reveal anything about his next step.
He said that now the ball is in the court of the high command and they will make the decision. It is worth mentioning that Vikramaditya Singh is the son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
