Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extends birthday wishes to former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today, sharing a picture on the Twitter platform.
CM Kejriwal tweeted, 'This friendship is very old. Our trust and bond are very strong. The passion to work for the people is also very old. No matter how many conspiracies are hatched... this trust, this affection, and this friendship will never break.'
The most notable aspect in this picture is that the image which Delhi CM Kejriwal has used to wish Manish a happy birthday, is the same picture Sisodia had tweeted to wish Kejriwal a happy birthday in 2021.
The friendship between Kejriwal and Sisodia is 24 years old. Arvind Kejriwal had recently revealed in an interview that his first meeting with Manish Sisodia took place in 1990.
During that time, Kejriwal was working in the Income Tax Department and was deeply saddened by the stories of corruption. The idea of forming an NGO came to his mind, but it was impossible to do so while working in a government job.
In such a situation, his friends formed an NGO to which Kejriwal contributed as much as he could.
When the NGO needed volunteers, an advertisement was placed on the website. Through this advertisement, Manish Sisodia got connected with Arvind Kejriwal.
After that, they also stayed together during the Anna Andolan. Additionally, when the Aam Aadmi Party was formed, Manish Sisodia continued to support Arvind Kejriwal.
