The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has canceled the players training camp due to the increasing outbreak of coronavirus. Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to play 3 Tests and 3 T20 series from August 5 to September 1 on England tour. Only a 3 to 4 day gap is kept between the three tests, While 3 T20s will be played within five days. All matches will be played without spectators.
The PCB has sought 40 days of extra time from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). If ECB approves it, Pakistani players will go to England 40 days in advance for the series. For this, the PCB had approved the training of 30 players. According to Pakistan's head coach and selector Misbah-ul-Haq, only 25 of these 30 players will be taken on a tour of England.
Recently, PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said, "The two Tests matches of the series will be played in Manchester and Southampton. The ECB will soon announce the venue for the third Test. The medical staff will be with our team throughout the tour. All players will be subjected to regular temperature checks. The health and safety of the players is more important for us. If a player does not want to leave, we will accept his decision. "
