ODI Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan and Nepal has started the proceedings of the ODI Asia Cup 2023 from today 30th August 2023 and the final will be played on 17th September 2023.

The men in green side is the co-host of the Asia Cup which is being played in the one-day international format. This game is being played in Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan.

Talking about the Indian Team, the men in blue side will face the arch-rivals in their very first game of the ODI Asia Cup 2023. That match will be played in Sri Lanka.

The island nation will host the majority of the one-day international games in this year’s tournament and the Indo-Pak match will be played on Saturday 2nd September 2023 at Pallekele International Stadium.

Rahul Dravid has confirmed that Shreyas Iyer will bat at the much-debated position of number four and he has also said that KL Rahul will miss the game against Pakistan on Saturday.

The former Indian player and skipper of the team, Dravid also said that the team had missed the star pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the last two years of the international Cricket arena.

Now that Boom Boom Bumrah had a good return to the international cricket circuit, all eyes will be on him. Bumrah played well in the series against Ireland.

He bowled well and also led the Indian team superbly as the men in blue side won that three-match T20 International series by a margin of 2-0.

Before the Indian team left for the Island nation of Sri Lanka, Dravid also said that Jasprit Bumrah will not be given too much pressure in this ODI Asia Cup 2023, which will be his comeback tournament after a long injury layoff and with the ICC mega event of the one-day international format is around the corner as well.

The Wall Said That There is Nothing Like Home Advantage Now

The head coach of the Indian Cricket Team, Rahul Dravid who was also known as The Wall in his playing days was asked about the playing conditions in Sri Lanka and would help Team India or not.

He replied that there is nothing like home advantage now as it used to be earlier. Things have changed since the last few decades because the teams tour and play more often and they have an idea of what the conditions will as well.
