NZ Vs SA: New Zealand is in commanding position in the first Test match against South Africa which is currently being played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The home side is ahead of this game by mammoth margin of 528 runs on day 3. NZ Vs SA: The Proteas have toured to the Kiwi nation for a series of two-match red ball series. The home side, New Zealand has dominated this first match which is being currently played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

While the second and the last match of this series will be played at Seddon Park in Hamilton from Tuesday, 13th February 2024 to Saturday, February 17th 2024.

In the first Test match, the Blackcaps bossed the game with a clinical performance with bat and ball. The home side had scored 511 runs in the 1st innings and then their bowlers bundled out the visitors, South Africa for just 162 runs.

New Zealand is currently batting in their second innings now and the lead has gone past more than 500 runs.

The Kiwis are on top with a lead of 528 runs at the end of the third day’s play. They are placed at 179 runs for the loss of four wickets. Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell are the not-out batters for the home side in the second innings of the 1st Test match.

Now the Kiwis will look to bury the Proteas Team under the mountain of runs and take a lead of 1-0 in this two-match series of the red ball format.

The legendary batter, Kane Williamson had smashed two centuries in the two innings of the ongoing first Test match. The Kiwi skipper scored 118 runs in the 1st innings and smashed 109 runs in the second innings.

He has reached his 30th and 31st Test centuries in the same red-ball match. Williamson is the 5th batter from New Zealand to score twins centuries in a single red ball game.

Kane Williamson is the number one batsmen in Test match cricket. He has been quicker than former Australian batter Steve Waugh in scoring 31 centuries in the red ball format.

However, Williamson couldn’t break the record of Sachin Tendulkar. The God Of Cricket was quicker to reach 31 Test tons than the current batter from New Zealand.

Williamson had also dominated the last ten innings of the Test format for New Zealand. He had scored 6 centuries which also includes a double ton as well.

His six Test centuries in the last 10 innings are 132, *121, 215, 104, 118, and 109 runs. Kane is also in the elite list of the century makers in the International cricket arena and he has joined active cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Joe Root and David Warner in that list.
