MI lost their last match against LSG because the middle order was blown away by the LSG bowlers. Rohit and his men will not want to repeat that mistake again in this crucial game.
The main issue for the Blues is their bowling which hasn’t been that great. Their bowlers have conceded 200 and more runs when they have bowled first.
This could become a huge problem if the MI defend a score. The fast bowlers will have to strike in the powerplay overs and spinners too will have to come good in the middle overs.
MI and LSG both have played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai before in this edition. They played against the home side, Chennai Super Kings and both teams lost their matches.
LSG has a better spin-bowling attack than MI. But Mumbai has a good batting lineup than the Super Giants. So this will be a neck-to-neck contest and MI is the favorite to win.
