AUS Vs IND WTC 2023 Final: After a successful completion of the TATA IPL 2023 season, now Team India heads to England for the one-off test match against Australia in the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC).

This mega event hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) will start from Wednesday, 7th June 2023 to Sunday, 11th June 2023 at The Oval in London.

India has announced their squad for this mega event against the Aussies. While Australia has also named their full-strength squad for this event and Ashes Test Series 2023 as well.

The men in the blue side have named a good squad for this event. Still, they will miss Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant.

Today, we present our selection of players who, in our opinion, should have been chosen for this crucial match.

India and Australia will face off for the fifth time in the year 2023. Under Virat Kohli, the men in the blue side had also reached the finals of 2021 WTC.

But they failed to win it and this time, India will aim for an ICC trophy that has been pending for the last ten years.

1. Arshdeep Singh

The star pace bowler, who has done well in the limited overs format should have been given a chance in this WTC Final 2023 as well.

Arshdeep Singh is yet to make a debut in the red ball format and his participation in this event would have been an ideal time for playing his first Test match for the country.

Singh could have been a perfect replacement for Boom Boom Bumrah and his bowling style would have suited the conditions of England.

He could have been also a lethal partner with Mohammed Shami as they could have created havoc with new and older red cherry.

2. Hardik Pandya

The fast-bowling all-rounder and the skipper of the Gujarat Titans team, Hardik Pandya has returned as a fast bowler as well and he has done well for India in the T20 Internationals and fifty-over matches.

Hardik has used the new ball when he captained India in the shortest format and he has also picked wickets when the team needs the most in the middle overs.

Despite this fact, he wasn’t picked in the last WTC final in 2021 and this finale in 2023.

His inclusion could have made the batting lineup look stronger and it could have given Rohit Sharma one more option in the bowling department.

3. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The star bowler who was a vital member of India in all three formats of the game has been ignored for this all-important event.

Bhuvneshwar is a quality pace bowler who can lengthen the batting lineup as well which is needed in those conditions of England. Bhuvi has experience of bowling in England.

Like Hardik Pandya, Bhuvi wasn’t picked for the last finals when India played against New Zealand in 2021. Kumar is a skilled pacer and swing bowler just like Arshdeep Singh.

India’s bowling lineup would be strengthened if the selectors had included them in this mega ICC event. Bhuvi has played five matches in England and he has picked up 19 wickets in them.
