Reduced Car Sales in December, Buying Cars will be Expensive from April

Sales of cars have decreased once again in December. During this period, the sales of vehicles have fallen by 3.11%.

New Delhi: After a slight increase in the festive season, car sales have derailed once again. Passenger vehicle sales have registered a decline of 3.11% in December 2019. Apart from this, commercial vehicles sales and two-wheelers have also recorded a decline in December 2019. At the same time, the new financial year for the country's automobile industry can also be a crisis, due to the continuous decline. From April 1, the new emission standard bs6 is being implemented across the country. In such a situation, the value of all types of vehicles will increase. From April 1, all new bs6 vehicles will become expensive by 8 to 10 percent.

Sale Reduction Figures
Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market in December 2019 have been reduced by 1.24 fees as compared to December 2018. In December 2019, a total of 235 786 passenger vehicles have been sold in the country, whereas in December 2018, 238 753 passenger vehicles were sold. If we talk about commercial vehicles, then the sales of commercial vehicles in December 2019 decreased by 12.32% as compared to December 2018. In December 2019, a total of 66622 commercial vehicles have been sold across the country whereas in December 2018 this figure was 75984 vehicles. If you talk about two-wheelers, then in December 2019, there has been a decrease of 16.60% in the sale of two-wheelers in the country.

In December 2019, 10,50038 two-wheelers have been sold across the country, whereas in December 2018, this figure was 1259007. In December 2019, there has been an increase in the sales of only one category of vehicles. This category is three wheeler. In December 2019, three wheeler sales in the country have registered an increase of 22.10%. In December 2019, 53297 three-wheelers were sold nationwide, whereas in December 2018, the figure was 43650.

Releasing the sales figures, Rajan Wadera, president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, said that with the start of the new fiscal year, new standards of emission bs6 will be implemented across the country. In such a situation, all new bs6 vehicles will become expensive by 8 to 10 percent. He said that in such a situation, some people may refrain from buying cars, which may shock the sales once again.

At the same time, about cars, he said that the prices of almost all cars will be expensive by 3 to 7 percent. Regarding the discount, he said that the discounts will also be reduced in the coming days. He told that at present, all car dealers have a 20-day inventory, which was up to 40 days till a few months ago. For this reason, car companies and dealers gave additional discounts. But now because of the low inventory, customers should not expect more discounts….
