Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday attacked the Modi government, saying that the Supreme Court has stamped the powers of the ED.

They don't even need to justify their action anymore and can arrest anyone. It has been given powers more than the police. The Chief Minister said these things in a program organized to review the budget plans in Jaipur.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot further said that the politics of one religion is going on in this country. This nation had never seen anything like this.

People are worried, but they are scared and unable to speak because of fear of ED. This statement of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot comes amid the arrest of several leaders of opposition parties by the ED.

The investigating agency on Sunday arrested Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in a money laundering case related to the redevelopment of the Patra Chawl project in Mumbai.

Earlier, the ED had also arrested now-suspended TMC leader Partha Chatterjee after it found over Rs 20 crore in cash at the residence of his aide Arpita Mukherjee.

Chief Minister Gehlot also attacked PM Modi and said that the Prime Minister did not act on his request to issue an appeal for non-violence after a tailor Kanhaiya Lal was beheaded in Udaipur.

Chief Minister Gehlot said that if the arrest had not been made swiftly after the murder in Udaipur, there could have been communal riots in the state as well as in the country. I stopped that. I asked PM Modi to issue an appeal to the people that violence will not be tolerated, but he did not do that.
