Auctioning of Girs: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Gehlot government in the case of Auctioning of Girls being sold on stamp paper in Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
The commission has asked the Rajasthan government to submit a report on the whole matter within four weeks. After the entire matter was exposed, the Rajasthan Child Protection Commission also swung into action and called for a report from the responsible officers in 3 days.
It is alleged that daughters are sold on stamp paper in 6 districts of Rajasthan. If refused, their mothers are raped. These girls are bought and sent abroad including UP, MP, and Delhi.
According to the information, caste (Jati) panchayats in Rajasthan are committing this crime like in Syria and Iraq, where girls are enslaved.
According to the sources, girls are bid according to age and beauty. Underage girls are bid for 8 to 10 lakhs..
In Bhilwara, whenever there is a dispute between two parties, instead of going to the police, they go to the caste (Jati) panchayats for its settlement.
Here an order has been given to rape the girl's mother because she refused to sell her daughter. After the matter came to light, now the politics on this has also intensified. While attacking the Rajasthan government, BJP has raised serious questions on law and order of the state.
After this matter came to the fore, BJP has become an attacker on the Gehlot government of the state. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said in a tweet, 'The slogan of the Congress party is 'I can fight', but see the reality in Rajasthan, where the auction of sister and daughters is going on openly.
